Rebecca Class Experimentation and possition.
After an extensive research I analyzed the concepts and effects in 90s videos and this is what i came up with.
I Find quite interesting the way how my video is not completely linear. The morning was perfect and I enjoyed this experiences. Nature is a basic element to embellish films. This experiment was very successful. The effects used in this short video give a different sense to the video. It is a great video. Things to improve in the next video is more locations and dark film also I need to research about imposition of videos.

Video mistakes
There are different kinds of video mistakes that people tend to make. This mistakes make the movie boring and sometimes it takes the character and aim of the compositions. This time My group focused in head hunting which is basically shooting the same thing in the same angle over and over again.
Rebeccas class/ Cassandra class. Fabians Own research.
The 90's was a time where the most amazing special and experimental effects were being created. Artist from everywhere starting experimenting with their art. This was called the X Generation They invented New Genres such as Grunge and Techno and other interesting mixes. This was not just art It became lifestyles, social groups. This Video from Perl Jam Has different effects and timeline. also it involves animation text and illustration. I particularly like the way the lights are a very important element of the composition. The effect that I am most impressed by is the way they put three images at the same time in an abstract scenario giving life and drama to the song and the video. Video effects were a very important form of art in the 90's.

pre-Columbian art is art made by indigenous people of the americas before the European invasion. There were several tribes and communities such as the aztecs, maya, etc... Their civilisations was located in the Island in the atlantic andes and central America and North America. These people used clay to make pottery and gold to produce other artefacts such as jewellery. However this did not have any value as we know it. It was for spiritual purposes and ceremonies. The images I would like to show have very spiritual value and they are lucky to exist. The objects show human and animal characteristics, some of them represented gods and other deities.
Rebeccas class Self portrait.

Rebecca's class Music video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuZhnNR6vzc
This video is very interesting. It is political and the animation is very well designed. This animation is the kind of animation I would like to do. It talks about corruption and theres political figures such as Hitler soldiers war and the US president. I like how everything is put together in different scenarios like an animated collage.

Object class Badges
Today we learned about medals and badges. I researched about some badges in the pokemon cartoon and this is what I found. This Gym badges were given to the pokemon trainers every time they won a battle.
This badges are pretty much logos that represent the king of pokemon that the trainers have to fight against. rock, water, mgic, love, and vegetables, air and so on. this are pretty simple but succesful when trying to get their meaning.

James Franco is one of my favorite is an actor, director, screenwriter, producer, teacher, author and poet. He has been part of many movies and productions. As i researched for some of his movies I came across a very interesting movie, As I lay dying. This movie was based after the novel written by William Faulkner in 1939 with the same name.
In this movie Franco decided to write a screenplay of the novel with a fellow student, Matt Rager. The novel As I Lay Dying was described as a story impossible to be transformed into a film due to the multi-narrative voices within it.
Franco saw this as a challenge and was able to depict the many voices,
through choices of styling through camera edits. Faulkner told this
story in a chorus of voices: 15 narrators in the 59 chapters. To locate an equivalent for the novel’s polyphonal scheme. Franco in
relation to this decision employs the use of narrative expressed through
dialogue and voice overs. James Franco also incorporates different
elements such as split screen which is effective in a sense which,
allowing the viewers to connect to the isolation each character
experiences since they are connected by blood, duty, and desire. The filming took place in Mississippi from August 21, 2012 to October 5, 2012.
This was new to me as a never saw a movie with so much split screen before. also the characters costumes and places were very interesting. I would say it is a movie worth to be seen.
Rebeccas Class Video Research on music video
So this term we are doing moving images as topic for our visual arts class. Music videos are a very creative way for artists to promote their music. There are some brilliant examples of music videos and video producers this time I will present the video drive from the band Incubus. As I name one of my favorite artists is M.C Escher. This music video was based on Escher Famous masterpiece drawing Hands. Directed by Phil Harder, it features a simple musical session intercut with a rotoscoped animation of Brandon Boyd
drawing himself. The animation was handled by both Boyd and drummer
Jose Pasillas. The scenes from the official music video were shot in the
McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota. The video was nominated for Best Group Video at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards but lost to 'N Sync.

This video for me is a very interesting animation and also it is a very smart way to bring something like a famous drawing back to life.

Object class research miniature
Dalton Ghetti is a 52-year old carpenter from Bridgeport, Connecticut and, without the aid of a magnifying glass, has been carving incredible miniature sculptures for over 25 years. His idea is to bring people’s attention to small things. Most of the pencils Ghetti uses are found on the streets and sidewalks. He turns discarded objects into art.
The artist works by removing specks of graphite at a time and therefore it takes months or sometimes years to complete a sculpture. For Ghetti, sculpting pencils is a hobby and a form of meditation. His pencil carvings are not for sale as he doesn’t do it for money. He sculpts pencils mostly for himself and his art comes from his heart.

Rebeccas class video had hunting
Learning about the don'ts on video, we were asked to produce videos in which we do the wrong things. We chose head hunting which means being repetitive and not having variety of angles and shots. this makes videos boring and plain.

Hydrogen bomb
This is a nuclear weapon.
Nuclear weapons are basically one of the most destructive forces in the world. This is probably not an art piece but it certainly is one of the science most horrific discovery. Space Crafts.
Space crafts are objects that can travel outside of our planet. the construction of aircrafts require technology and materials not usual in any other industry. They can go trough the layers of the atmosphere. I admire nasa and all their effort to bring people the opportunity of thinking further than whats on earth.
