Object class Research

pre-Columbian art is art made by indigenous people of the americas before the European invasion. There were several tribes and communities such as the aztecs, maya, etc... Their civilisations was located in the Island in the atlantic andes and central America and North America. These people used clay to make pottery and gold to produce other artefacts such as jewellery. However this did not have any value as we know it. It was for spiritual purposes and ceremonies. The images I would like to show have very spiritual value and they are lucky to exist. The objects show human and animal characteristics, some of them represented gods and other deities.
